The figurative talk of fruiting

John 15: 1I am the real vine and my father is the winemaker.John 15.2Every branch on me that does not bear fruit he cuts off and every branch that bears fruit he cleanses so that it bears more fruit.John 15: 3You are already pure by the word I said to you.John 15.4Stay in me, then I stay in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit from itself, but only if it remains on the vine, so you cannot bear fruit either if you do not remain in me.Joh 15,5I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and in whom I remain brings rich fruit; because apart from me you can do nothing.John 15.6Whoever does not stay in me will be thrown away like the vine and wither. You collect the vines, throw them in the fire and they burn.John 15.7If you stay in me and if my words stay in you, then ask for whatever you want: you will receive it.John 15.8My Father is glorified by your bearing abundant fruit and becoming my disciples.John 15.9As the Father loved me, so I loved you too. Stay in my love!John 15:10If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.John 15:11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be perfect.John 15:12This is my command: love one another as I have loved you.John 15:13There is no greater love than giving up your life for your friends.John 15:14You are my friends when you do what I tell you.John 15:15I no longer call you servants; for the servant does not know what his master is doing. Rather, I have called you friends; for I have shared with you everything I heard from my father.John 15:16You did not choose me, but I chose you and determined that you should arise and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain. Then the Father will give you everything you ask of him in my name.John 15:17I ask you this: love one another!.

The world's hatred for the disciples

John 15:18If the world hates you, know that it hated me before you did.John 15:19If you were of the world, the world would love you as its property. But because you do not come from the world, but because I have chosen you from the world, that is why the world hates you.John 15:20Remember the word I told you: the slave is no greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you too; if they have kept my word, they will also keep your word.John 15:21They will do all this to you for my name's sake; because they do not know him who sent me.John 15:22If I had not come and spoken to them, they would be without sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.John 15:23Whoever hates me also hates my father.John 15:24If I had not done the works with them that no one else did, they would be without sin. But now they have seen (the works) and yet they hate me and my father.John 15.25But the word in their law should be fulfilled: they hated me for no reason.John 15:26But when the support comes that I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth that goes out from the Father, then he will bear witness for me.John 15:27And you too are to bear witness because you have been with me from the beginning.
